What does Personal Training Cost?
Callie Drozinski | AUG 19
When most people think about hiring a personal trainer, they ask one question:
"How much does it cost?"
But I think there's a better question:
What am I actually getting for my money?
When I trained clients in person, I saw the same pattern over and over again. Most people could only justify paying for one training session per week.
And honestly, I understand why.
When you're paying $50 or more for every session, plus the cost of a gym membership, personal training can become expensive very quickly.
But here's the problem: one hour with a trainer each week isn't enough to create the kind of progress most people are hoping for.
The other six days still matter.
Let's say you hire a personal trainer for one session each week.
You show up, work hard, and have a great workout.
But what happens tomorrow?
Do you know what workout to do?
Do you know how to progress your exercises?
Do you know whether you should focus on strength, cardio, or recovery?
Are you following a nutrition plan that supports your goals?
And when life gets busy, do you know how to adjust without simply giving up for the week?
These are the questions that determine your results.
When I trained clients in person, I provided every client with workouts to follow on the days they weren't training with me. But I quickly realized something:
Of all these clients, only one followed her workouts on her own.
Everyone else had good intentions. But without someone there waiting for them, life often got in the way.
And I don't think that's because they were lazy.
I think the traditional personal training model creates a gap.
You're paying for the trainer's time in the gym, but your results depend on what happens when the trainer isn't there.
When I moved my coaching program online, I was able to completely rethink the way I worked with clients.
Instead of charging for every hour we spent together, I could provide ongoing coaching at a much more affordable cost.
My clients don't just get one workout with me each week.
They receive a personalized training plan designed around their body, goals, experience, and schedule.
They receive workouts for the entire week.
They give me feedback after their workouts, and I use that information to adjust and progress their plan.
I can see when they're completing their workouts and when they're struggling to stay consistent.
We can communicate throughout the week instead of saving every question for one 60-minute appointment.
And when life changes, their plan can change too.
That means the coaching relationship doesn't begin and end when the clock starts and stops.
It continues throughout the week.
One of the things I love most about online training is seeing what can happen when clients have a clear plan and ongoing accountability.
When I took my program online, I was able to charge half of what I would have needed to charge for comparable in-person training and provide more!
Clients get more support throughout the week.
They knew what to do when they weren't talking to me.
They had a plan to follow.
They had a place to track their workouts and habits.
And they had a coach they could communicate with when they had questions or needed help.
As a result, clients began experiencing success within their first four weeks.
That's the goal.
Not to make you dependent on paying someone to stand beside you every time you exercise.
But to teach you how to train, eat, and care for your body so you can create results in real life.
I'm not saying in-person personal training doesn't work.
It absolutely can.
There is incredible value in having someone standing beside you, helping you with form, pushing you through a difficult set, and guiding you through a workout.
But if you can only afford to see that trainer once per week—and then you're left trying to figure out the rest of your week on your own—you may not be getting the support you actually need.
Online personal training gives you something different.
You get a plan for the entire week.
You get accountability.
You get education.
You get personalized workouts that progress as you get stronger.
And you get ongoing access to your coach.
For many women, that makes online training not only a more affordable option, but a more effective one.
Because your health doesn't only matter for the one hour you're standing next to your trainer.
Your choices, habits, movement, nutrition, and mindset matter every day.
And that's where real transformation happens.
My online personal training program is designed for women who want more than a workout to follow once or twice a week.
You'll receive personalized workouts, ongoing coaching, accountability, nutrition education, and support designed to help you reach your goals and build habits that last.
Because the goal isn't to need a personal trainer forever.
The goal is to learn how to care for your body with confidence for the rest of your life.
If you're ready to see what personalized online coaching could look like for you, apply to train with me and let's talk about your goals.
