What is Move by Faith?
Callie Drozinski | AUG 19
Move By Faith was born from my own journey of discovering that movement can be about so much more than fitness.
For me, movement has always been a part of life. But over the years, it became a tool for coping, healing, building strength, connecting with others, and ultimately, growing in my faith.
Today, Move By Faith is the place where all of those parts of my story come together.
As a teenager, I discovered that movement could help me through difficult moments. Hello, running to get over heartbreak.
I loved team sports because I loved being part of something bigger than myself and having friends to share the experience with. My parents taught me to play tennis, making movement something I could enjoy with the people I loved.
And now, as a busy mom of four, I still love fitness for many of the same reasons.
Movement gives me energy. It makes me feel strong. It helps me feel good in my body. And honestly, I enjoy taking care of myself and feeling comfortable in the way I look.
But over time, I discovered that movement could offer me something even deeper.
While I was in college, my older sister almost died. Less than a year later, I was attending Virginia Tech during the mass shooting.
For years, I kept moving forward.
It wasn't until seven years later that I realized I was still carrying the weight of those experiences.
Through therapy and Christ-centered yoga, God began to bring healing to places in my heart and mind that I didn't even realize still needed attention.
Then, after having my babies, I began another journey.
This time, it was physical.
My back and hips hurt constantly, and I wanted to understand why. I began learning more about my body and searching for ways to move that would help me feel better and become stronger.
Through that journey, I discovered the power of deep core work and strength training.
They changed the way I moved, the way I felt in my body, and the way I understood physical strength.
And somewhere along the way, Move By Faith was born.
Today, I help women become stronger in their bodies and create healthy habits that fit into their real lives.
I want to help women learn how to move in ways that support their bodies, build strength, manage aches and pains, and stop feeling like they are constantly fighting against themselves.
But Move By Faith is about more than workouts.
I want women to understand that their bodies are not something to be ashamed of.
Your body is a gift from God.
And caring for it doesn't have to be about vanity, punishment, or trying to become someone else.
It can be an act of stewardship.
At Move By Faith, I believe we can care for our physical health while also caring for our minds and nurturing our faith.
I don't believe you have to choose between being physically strong and spiritually healthy.
I believe the two can work together.
Move By Faith is about moving your body, building strength, caring for your mind, nurturing your faith, and learning to live the abundant life Jesus came to give us.
My hope is to help you become stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually so you can live the life God has called you to live.
That's what Move By Faith is all about.
