eBook - Moving Meditations

$9.00

This book introduces a transformative way to experience God’s presence to deepen your relationship with God by incorporating movement with prayer into your daily routine.

“Moving Meditations” uniquely blends scriptures, devotions, breath exercises, and postures to help believers relieve stress, calm their minds, and find relief from physical pain — all while drawing closer to God. Each movement is demonstrated with clear images, offering a refreshing approach to fitness and faith. Rather than viewing exercise with a “must get done” attitude, the reader will crave the time to read scripture, think about it, and move in ways that bring healing to their body.

In this age of sitting at a computer and looking down at your phone, people don’t just need spiritual revival, they need a physical one too.

This devotional gives you space to think about, ponder on, and apply scripture to your life. You will learn different ways to move your body as you breathe and pray. With your mind and body working together, you let your focus shift from you to God and begin to sense his grace (Matthew 6:6 MSG).”

Designed for convenience, “Moving Meditations” is the perfect companion for practicing from home, outdoors, or while traveling. This book will appeal to those seeking a deeper spiritual connection or simply a new way to incorporate movement into their life.

What you get with this purchase:

  • You will have access to the 124 page eBook. The book contains 60 yoga poses and 60 devotionals to accompany them. All pictures are in color in this version of the book!
  • The PDF book is downloadable so that you can take it with you and share it with others!
  • The left page is titled with what the focus of the scripture will be. The scripture is highlighted first followed by a short devotional, and contemplative questions.
  • The right side is titled with what body part we will be exercising. Then, there are many pictures to help you understand the position of your body in the posture and how to breathe. There are also instructions as needed and a suggestion on how to pray the scripture.

I envision the reader opening their book and reading the left side of the page then turning to the right side to look at how to do the posture. The reader will then push their chair back from their computer and practice the pose. Once they get into the pose, they begin to breathe slowly and pray the scripture. When the scripture become memorized (perfection is not necessary!) the reader can close their eyes and really pray. Then the reader returns to the questions and takes a moment to talk with God. Possibly, continuing this conversation with other people and with God throughout their day.
